Major David J. Lambrecht is a native of Fredericksburg, Virginia. In May 1994 he graduated from James Madison University in Virginia and was commissioned a Second Lieutenant in the US Army Signal Corps. His first assignment was as the Assistant S-1 for the 67th Signal Battalion, 11th Signal Brigade, Fort Gordon, GA. He was then assigned to the 235th Signal Company TACSAT, where he served as a Platoon Leader. In October 1996, he deployed a platoon (+) to Saudi Arabia for six months as its Detachment Commander in support of Operation Desert Falcon. Upon returning to Ft Gordon, he served as the company Executive Officer until November 1997, when he deployed again in support of Operation Joint Guard. During this deployment he served as a J6 Plans Officer for Headquarters, EUCOM. In 1999, MAJ Lambrecht was assigned to the Joint Security Area in South Korea as the Battalion S6 for the United Nations Command Security Battalion responsible for security operations for the truce village of Panmunjom located in the De-militarized Zone. In 2000, MAJ Lambrecht was reassigned to Ft Huachuca, AZ as 11rd Signal Brigade S-3 Operations Officer. The following year he took command of A Company, 302nd Signal Battalion, Fort Detrick, MD where he served for two years. In 2003 he was assigned to the National Security Agency’s Information Assurance Directorate located near Ft Meade, MD. During this assignment MAJ Lambrecht deployed to Kabul, Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom serving as a CJ6 Battle Captain for Combined Force Command-Afghanistan. In 2006, MAJ Lambrecht returned to Fort Huachuca, AZ as the 11th Signal Brigade S-3 Systems Engineer. In February 2007, he took over as the S-3 for the 40th Expeditionary Signal Battalion, 11th Signal Brigade and deployed the battalion to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. He is currently serving as the Battalion Executive Officer. MAJ Lambrecht has a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science from James Madison University in Virginia, and is completing his Master of Science degree in Technology Management from the University of Maryland. He is a graduate of the Signal Officer Basic and Advanced Courses, the Combined Armed Services Staff Course and the Command and General Staff College. MAJ Lambrecht’s awards and decorations include the Parachutist Badge, Bronze Star Medal, Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, Joint Service Commendation Medal (2 awards), Army Commendation Medal (3 awards), Joint Service Achievement Medal, Army Achievement Medal (2 awards), Joint Meritorious Unit Award (2 awards), and Army Superior Unit Award (2 awards). MAJ Lambrecht is married to Dr. Kristen Lambrecht and they have three children, Sofia (2 years old), Marshall (7 months old) and Madeleine (7 months old).




MAJ David Lambrecht is the 40th Expeditionary Signal Battalion XO (2007-2009).
